In this video i will talk about Seo Content Strategy. I will go into what Seo is and explain more about Content Strategy.
Seo Content Strategy
Seo stands for search engine optimization. You’re looking to maximise the number of visitors to your website or link.
Seo is something that helps you rank as high as possible in the search engine. For example on Google, YouTube and Bing.
If people can’t see your content because it isn’t ranked high up in the search results, then it will be harder to build a business or find potential customers.
So I’m going to list a few things to consider when you are putting together your seo content strategy.
First of all who is the audience you are making the content for. Are you making content on cooking, keeping fit, gardening, sports, gaming or even playing the guitar.
Work out the exact audience who you are looking to bring into your world, by creating the right content for them.
Now identify your specific topic. If you are doing fitness content are you creating content for younger or older people. Male or female.
Maybe you want to create content on lifting weights or getting a six pack. Perhaps your topic is cooking,
Are you making videos on how to cook simple and easy meals, bake cakes or how to make your own bread?
The more specific you can be, the easier you will find the particular audience that you are looking to create content for.
Now you need to look at your competitors, within the topic or niche you are in.
What type of content are they delivering? Find your niche and look at the competitors who are ranked the highest.
Do they have any particular content ideas that will help you?
Perhaps they have drone videos. They take them out and you see them flying in action.
You could maybe buy some drones yourself and see them in action. Then you could do an authentic review on the drones for your audience.
Now you’ve hopefully worked out exactly what topic you are choosing for your content, you need to look at the keywords.
If you are baking cakes you could have the keyword “how to bake a chocolate cake” for example.
Play around with this. It’s very important to find the right keywords for your content. If you don’t people can’t find you.
Make a list of keywords for your niche, and then you need to check how many people are actually searching for that keyword.
If nobody is searching that keyword, delete it from your list.
So now you need to work out how competitive the keyword is. Is there lots of people making content on that keyword?
If there is then even if you create good content, it might be very difficult to rank high in the search results.
It’s a balancing act. You want people searching for that search term but you don’t want to compete with too many people.
It’s important to track and measure your results. When you start creating content on different keywords, analyse which keywords are doing well and which are not.
You will start to work out which ones you should be using and which ones to stay away from.
Don’t put your time and energy into keywords that aren’t getting you results.
It’s all trial and error. Research is the key here.
Make sure you do your homework and work out exactly what type of audience you want to create content for and what niche your content is in.
Stay consistent and keep going with your content. It won’t happen overnight. Keep going.
